while that's true for mediafire and how a lot of its ads help it along, I think ads on here are only used for a little extra revenue rather than to run the entire forums, unless badspot said otherwise but I remember him saying ads were just for extra money. he makes plenty of money off the game

ads actually do a lot if you get a lot of traffic like mediafire, and not many people are willing to go beyond that free file hosting limit because for a lot of people that's enough
I'm fine with using adblockers on sites that get really, really intrusive with them

Yeah, they do alot.
Sites like roblox need builders club and not just ads because ads don't rake in enough depending on what you do. File hosting is expensive en masse.
