I've made mockup websites before and developed them using HTML before. Never really thought about that kinda stuff because the people normally using it don't have these issues.

It's useful for finding things, sure. And it's situational. But it has nothing to do with this topic and isn't useful for youtube.

It's just a matter of the small little optimizations and accessibility tweaks that developers eventually come to see a need for once the website gets heavier traffic. Through consumer support and survey, small issues like this become more apparent.
