well the point is nothing free and good lasts forever without some kind of way to make money. im worried for imgur in that respect since i cant imagine how they make enough money off the few ads they have to keep the servers going and employees paid theres a fine line between advertising well and advertising excessively, as sites like mediafire and photobucket did. when it gets excessive you push away users, which drives down ad revenue, and then as a result richard moves like this get pulled (or companies shut down) |

imgur does have it's own "community" so i'm sure they get a decent amount of ad revenue compared to just image hosting sites |
