Completely different. Melodically it might be easier since you have musical background, and on a piano no less, but you have to learn how to actually play an entirely different instrument. The main thing people have problems with learning a struck-string instrument is coordination. You have to learn that, in order to produce a note on the fretboard, you have to teach your hands to fret first and strike second to produce a note. With piano, you just press the key to produce a note. |
