| What Should My Girlfriend's First Video Game Be? |

I believe I've settled on The Wolf Among Us. Hear me out; The gameplay is incredibly basic (limited controller/keyboard prompts). She really loves fantasy and crime dramas. It's got a load of talking points and decisions. The art style is pretty interesting. She can run it on her phone/tablet/laptop so she can actually take that game home with her and enjoy. It's got a sequel on the way that we can be excited for. Other contenders which I'll run her through today or another day include Portal 2, Fallout 4, L.A. Noire, Life is Strange and any one of the good Halo games (preferably as her first co-op experience, I don't like playing P2 co-op since newbies usually need a lot of help adjusting to first person controls.). Keep shooting ideas, though. It's fascinating what everybody thinks is appropriate to get a newbie started on. |
