To add on that, universal health care doesn't even have to have a private option. Single payer, all you're doing is contributing to the pool of medicaid.

I'm not arguing from any sense of morality. Funny thing is, I've also stated in the forums I'd be willing to be taxed to a DEGREE if the current tax code was reformed to ease the load on the middle class, but when I talk to some of you here I get so annoyed I just want to say forget it and hope I don't have to pay stuff for anyone but myself and anyone who is dependent on me. As it stands, middle class people like me don't need an extra helping of taxes sliced off our paychecks. I'd even take some opt-in option where I can contribute if I WANT TO, but I should not be forced to.
