That's a lot of people. Can you guess approximately how many of those 13-14 million people have cancer, HIV, heart disease, diabetes, or any other deadly condition that can only be treated through regular doses of medicine? All those people would have to start paying for the medicine they need to stay alive out of pocket; and given typical drug prices you can probably see why a huge number of them would literally die as a result of losing insurance. |
