--- Quote from: Deus Ex on July 28, 2017, 07:04:30 PM ---Oh dude can you loving not? No one is HOPING for people to die, what we're hoping for is to not get taxed up the ass to pay for other people's health conditions. It's not rocket science. If they die as a result of us paying taxes that's not our fault.

--- End quote ---
You aren't hoping for them to die--you're just going to let them die because you don't care about their lives. What's the difference? You're sitting back and letting people suffer and die and go bankrupt because you'd save a minuscule amount of money. That's so much better dude. You should be proud.

I know you don't give a stuff about our country, but most people here do. If you don't want to pay taxes, move to a country where you don't have to.

You can't refute basic arguments against your selfish bullstuff so you resort to posts like these. You aren't fooling anyone, dude.

Sorry, I know those facts hurt. Nobody is impressed with you right now.

have numbers been run about the outlook on the actual health impact of a repeal? obviously in theory, millions of people losing health insurance is an objectively bad thing for them, and obviously it makes sense that if they rely on insurance to afford critical treatments, they'll experience injury, lower quality of life, or death, but it would probably be much easier to talk around actual figures here

I don't know, I said in another thread that if I lost my medical benefits I wouldn't be able to afford insulin every month despite having a pretty alright job. My job doesn't offer healthcare so I get my benefits from ACA and a straight repeal or anything that would make me lose coverage meant it would be significantly harder to get insulin.

Without insurance I'd be shelling out ~$410 a month for enough to last a month. Because I don't have to pay the full $410, I can afford to have a good diet and exercising plan to where a whole vial will last me a full month. Once I start paying that $410, I suddenly don't have money for a good diet and I'll need more insulin per month, meaning I have to pay even more monthly, which means I have even less money for food and other bills and...

Long story short, My life and a LOT of other people's lives would be needlessly complicated by a half-assed repeal and replace plan. The GOP had a handful of years to fine-tune a plan and they forgeted it up because they're incompetent the whole way down. You and Red Spy are completely full of stuff.

well if i lose coverage i'm going to have to pay an extra $260 every month out of my would-be savings just so i can breathe without agony. i dont have that kind of money

This is literally it. I have to balance my health, my family's lifestyle, my car insurance payments, rent and utilities, groceries and any other bills that get tossed onto the pile when something goes wrong. I'm blessed to have the coverage to afford insulin because without it, I couldn't afford staying healthy and since I'm the breadwinner in the household, that's a road that will lead to ruin.
