--- Quote from: Tactical Nuke on July 28, 2017, 08:37:51 PM ---how does me shilling out money for someone I don't even know benefit me? that's forced charity, and it shouldn't be part of my taxes
if I want to give money to sick people who need treatment then I'll give them the loving money, I don't need the government to do it for me

Literally "TAXATION IS THEFT REEEE"
Karl Marx:
Weird cycle of half-assed conservatism:

Authoritarian conservatives resort to insane "taxation is theft" garbage when their argument falls apart, ancaps resort to full-on fascism when their arguments crumble.

--- Quote from: Tactical Nuke on July 28, 2017, 08:37:51 PM ---the researchers deliberately left out religion to come to the conclusion they came to, even though conservatives and Republicans are seen as "anti-gay" because, as most people would say, they're Christian

so either they're a religious group of people or they're not, you can't just disregard key characteristics when they do good and bring them up only as a negative

--- End quote ---
...what? Are you saying the authors of that paper described conservatives as anti-gay and Christian, and then left it out of the paper, or are you just using examples from other people to call these people "hypocrites".

I stopped reading your post after that because clearly you didn't understand the article.

--- Quote ---Critics of the law now say millions lost their health insurance. But that’s misleading. Those individual market plans were discontinued, but policyholders weren’t denied coverage. And the question is, how many millions of insured Americans had plans canceled, and how does that compare with the millions of uninsured Americans who gained coverage under the law.

There is evidence that far more have gained coverage than had their policies canceled.

...

It’s true that insurance companies discontinued health plans that had covered millions of people who had bought them directly rather than through an employer. That’s because those plans didn’t meet the coverage standards of the new law.

But those policyholders didn’t lose the ability to have insurance. In most cases, insurers offered them an alternative plan, though there were some instances of companies exiting the individual market altogether.
--- End quote ---

Your argument was that there was a net loss, not a net gain. This piece proves you wrong.

why is it that whenever you post something political you come off as a condescending little stuff? everyone else is here arguing like a normal person but you come in like 'no you're all evil you want poor people to die forget all of you' how small of a loving bubble do you live in to say something like that? you don't know a single thing about me, or for that matter, anyone here. this might be a shock to you but you're not a great debater, you just come in and stuff on everyone you don't like
