So while nobody is actually at fault, europe still forgeted themselves over for no good reason. |

It sounds pretty clearly like the high court and the hospital are to blame, but of course you guys are turning this into an argument about socialism, when socialized healthcare had nothing to do with the kid dying. Similar bullstuff happens in the United States all the time where people are legally barred from receiving experimental treatments for whatever reason. But you aren't going to blame market-based healthcare for that because it contradicts the narrative. Selected cases: -Dude on an employer health plan is denied access to an experimental treatment, even though it was in the later stages of clinical trials https://benefitslink.com/articles/selfinsure010314.html -Little girl with rare cancer gets denied compassionate use of experimental treatments https://www.cnbc.com/2014/08/05/a-case-for-compassionate-use-when-unapproved-drugs-are-the-only-hope.html -Two disabled kids basically handed a death sentence after being denied compassionate use by both drug companies and the FDA https://www.bostonglobe.com/magazine/2015/07/15/sick-kids-desperate-parents-and-battle-for-experimental-drugs/Hle3CTwriFfTXoOvQ7TbZP/story.html |
