Google fires James Damore for memo on echochamber
Insert Name Here²:
Reminder the guy was fired for stating a fact
Do you think it's okay to get fired for stating obvious facts that you can find my simply using google or any search engine, or a loving book at a library? It's like saying "the sky is blue," and getting fired for it because a color blind worker sees it as purple.

These were not attacks on his person (i hope). These were attacks on his forum behavior, and if he acts the same way in real life he's just irredeemable. I wouldn't believe it.

i guarantee if you met him in real life he'd be extremely socially awkward

regardless, they weren't argumentative material, they were attempts to disparage him, and responding with a dumb meme is something i'd personally gladly take over whatever happened in this thread. i don't expect anyone else to feel the same way but i think this is a markedly worse outcome

even though I generally disagree with Kimon and think he does some pretty irritating things, I do think what occurred in earlier pages of this thread was slightly "over the top."
I understand many people have a gripe with him, but resorting to personal attacks instead of reserving judgement to his forum behavior is kind of stupid and if you genuinely believe he's a troll, flaming him and dogpiling him is just stooping to his level.
