"Women are biologically inferior to men in terms of technical ability" "wtf why are you firing me" Not to mention he immediately mentions that he is a libertarian despite nobody caring or needing to know this information. |

He stated the simple, inherent differences in what men and women tend to look for in careers to explain the overrepresentation of males in the company and in the tech industry in particular and suggested steps the company could take to attract more women instead of taking the discriminatory route of setting hiring quotas. He emphasizes that tech jobs as they currently stand are fairly systematic and competitive, with stressful work and long hours. Women prefer to have more of a work-life balance, and inherently tend to be collaborative rather than competitive. Women also don't care as much for the "merit" of a tech job and are more susceptible to anxiety and increased stress levels as a consequence. It isn't being "inferior," he just explains some reasons that women do not prefer tech jobs and how they can change the environment to be more conducive to more women being interested in the work. |
