It would appear so.

In the incident of rape, someone shouldn't have to expect negative attention going out dressed in whatever because someone can't control what's in his pants, the brown townogy is just bleh.

Literally one extra letter in your sentence and you sound exactly like the type of person you're arguing against.

you and kimon are the perfect examples what're you talking about
LeisureSuit912:
Aside from some ridiculous false equivalency, the ORIGINAL point was that this guy shouldn't have worn that hat to a vigil for a leftist protestor. All he was going to do is bring negative attention to themselves, and conservatives right now just ought to sit down, shut up and don't try and co-opt this girl's death for their movement, especially such a stuffty foundation like the YAF.

And it's not about what you can do (you have your freedom of speech and all, duh), but it's about what you should do. You can be all prideful about your stupid hat when you go to these events, but don't be surprised when people call you an starfish and say things like "you aren't welcome here".

Oh, and one more thing:

Drawing a comparison between (1) a guy wearing a hat to a vigil being yelled at and getting his camera knocked over and (2) a girl being raped and told it was her fault for looking attractive is such an insulting comparison for rape victims that it can only come across as an argument made out of desperation. Only somebody who has never experienced loveual harassment would make that brown townogy.
