if you don't get how injury is much less terrible than death then there's no hope for you
there's a big moral difference in using pepper spray to defend yourself vs hitting someone with a loving car. no one is gonna die and pepper spray blindness is usually temporary

I mean I'd think death and permanently blinding someone, both over petty political stuff would be pretty equatable
