--- Quote from: Filipe on August 14, 2017, 06:06:28 PM ---You should had told me that before lol, so it's good to have both programs? 3DS for modelling and Maya for animation. --- End quote --- you can work entirely in maya, the transition from maya to 3dsmax is far, far easier than from blender to maya or 3dsmax. i dont think that not having experience in 3dsmax would hurt your chances at getting hired at a modeling firm, but not having maya would almost certainly. other things you may want to check out is zbrush, and maybe the facebook group 10,000 hours (a modeling community with varying degrees of talent and industry pros). they can give you far better pointers than most people here can (exception would be puppydog who actually does industry models). what i know here comes from that group |
