A lot of southern soliders faught because they had to. It was either sit back and watch the union raze all of your's and your neighbor's farmland to the ground or go out and fight against it. Its a lot like the german soliders during wwii. Sure they were fighting for the wrong side but most of them were just doing what they thought was right and they should be respected for being able to do that. |
