sonic mania: most of the stuff i've played so far except for the non-boss segments of studio-opolis I'LL PRONOUNCE IT HOWEVER I WANT

fetch quests (why would nords still care about a crown from 6,000 years ago)

copy-pasted locations (why would nords build 6,000 identical crypts)

dying instantly from something you can't see

When the AI loving cheats. Im looking at you dawn of war. Seriously in dawn of war make it so that the AI is NOT TAU. Tau usually uses expensive but strong units but it seems as if the AI does not even use resources.

Also, MAJOR SPIKES IN DIFFICULTY TO MAKE A GAME LONGER. Shall we do a list for Megaman games i played?

Sigma in Mega Man X3
Sigma's Second Form in Mega Man X4
Sigma's Palace in Mega Man X8
Gemini Spark and EVERYTHING AFTER HIM in Mega Man Star Force 1
Meteor G in Megaman Starforce 3

retro for the sake of nostalgia instead of gameplay. theres a legit appeal to it i think, but a lot of old games just dont hold up to modern gameplay standards. you just can't release the original mario game or castlevania with a fresh coat of paint and call it a good game. hell, you can barely even call it your game.

stuff that makes you say " oW T he e DGE"

forced vip or loyalty systems that only exist to make you shill out your money
the increasing appearance of loot boxes in all games, though mostly singleplayer games.
