--- Quote from: Deus Ex on August 23, 2017, 02:57:35 PM ---"It is not an organization", which isn't an argument --- End quote --- I called it an autonomous group organized over social media, far removed from what an organization is, which from everything I know was a correct statement. All you've provided so far is doubling down on what you've already said and not really explaining to me how it's an organization. You're just wrong about this one. It's insane that you're continuing to argue this. |

If a group of 50 white supremacists organize repeatedly on social media under a flag of their own and go out and have demonstrations, how in the forget is that not an organization? Or even a political organization? Because there's no leader? Do you guys even see how ridiculous that sounds? |

--- Quote from: Deus Ex on August 23, 2017, 03:03:31 PM ---So they're an organized group? The group if comprised of offshoot organized groups and lone-wolf protesters collaborating publicly over social media. The latter of the two doesn't make them an organization because IF small offshoot groups bearing the name of an autonomous group made them an organization, that would make a metric forgetton of legal loopholes that would be incredibly insane. If you and a bunch of people got together over social media to protest the removal of a statue, calling yourselves the #Statuenauts, you wouldn't become a political organization. The same is true for Antifa. |

I mean did you even think that through or did you think "HA, GOTTEM WITH THIS ONE" and posted away? --- Quote from: IkeTheGeneric on August 23, 2017, 03:06:20 PM ---Antifa doesn't have any sort of enterprise, headquarters, political leader or anything tying them together as an organization. If you insist on saying Antifa isn't an organization, fine, whatever, but you can't say the same for the state chapters, because these people do organize themselves in cities and states for these counter protests. And it's kind of ridiculous to even do that considering it's not like they have a different mission statement per chapter; it's all the same. Bash the fash and other commie bullstuff. And you keep making this hashtag comparison like Antifa is just a thing on twitter or something. You can't be this stupid, so at this point you're just arguing because you don't want to be wrong. And if you want to do that then go ahead. But Antifa isn't just a political movement. Every argument you guys are using can be applied to the kool kids klub. The kool kids klub has no centralized leadership, so we shouldn't consider it an organization, right? They have large chapters scattered throughout the US and no one person presides over them as a whole, so the kool kids klub is just a political movement, right? You act like Antifa only has presence on social media. Like it's not on campuses or they don't gather in large groups to discuss the best way to beat the stuff out of people. |
