Screen recorders leaving out 2 columns of pixels of my screen

I'm on a laptop, but i doubt that's the cause as i've had other laptops in the past with a 1366x768 resolution and things recorded fine, and by past, i mean in the last few years

You can't use a screen recorder to record a fullscreen game, you'll just get a black screen
Verification:
get a second moniter and a capture card. then you can record anything with a moniter or a screen.
