It's obviously made with a greater goal in mind than improving the status quo of either being in pressurized space ship or floating in space. Keep in mind, this is all meant to serve the grand goal of colonizing mars, which is likely going to require a suit that's more easy to move around with than in the traditional space suit and doesn't need to be as beefy. |
