your gpu is absolute dog stuff, ram and cpu are fine.
Just replace the gpu with a GT 1030 or GTX 1050, it's all you need

the i5 and 8gb is fine for gaming, he just needs a better GPU.
He doesn't need a sound card though. But since his is broken on his PC, a cheap one will be fine.
