Author Topic: Ghetto Fort Wars - The Everyman's City RP (OFFLINE)  (Read 2006 times)

Fort wars should be base raiders except with mandantory balanced teams and a single valuable resource that teams must defend at all costs. Ideally there would be a property rush phase where teams preemptively expand their defenses and funding without fear of the enemies attacking, then a main game phase where teams' central resource starts accruing points. Taking over a enemy resource would ideally destroy that team permanently and the Victor would gain all the spoils allowing them to expand faster than other teams. There must be pooled resources for teammates and a victory conditiom.
Base raiders already had a very unrefined version of this with incredibly loose base building and defense but it's flaws were the lack of regulation which caused 5 people to hold a majority power for hours and everyone else being bored out of their mind. Someone needs to refine the building aspect of base raiders beyond spamming stuffty bricks everywhere and needs to add a victory condition which carries incentive to play aggressively a defensively as needed rather than sit up in your base bored forever

Family feud barely scraped the surface of this concept with intense team rushing combat but the gunplay was so outrageous that the building aspect evolved into destructibility because building is boring and people prefer shooting disco nukes. Fortnite manages to seamlessly meld construction with destruction and that's the ideal equilibrium for a fort wars: both killing and building/defending should be incentivized and be equally simple

maybe the 2 teams could be

cops vs robbers

the cops build a police station type things

the robbers build crackhouses and drug factorys n stuff

mostly to give into the "ghetto" aspect

yeah this server isn't meant to be a rigid gamemode where something has to happen or someone loses, it's mainly meant to be a freer version of city rp where people can essentially do what they want

there are teams for police and the military, but they already have forts made for them

screenshots added, server up

Base raiders was the one where you have to break bricks in order to gain them to build, right?

nah it's the one where you plant moneyprinters and defend them from starfishs

so the map is so packed that I keep getting runtime errors after a good amount of time hosting
