If you believe in climate change then you have to acknowledge not only the serious ecological effects but what it'll have on our socio-economic systems and the availability of resources. It'll be our governments' responsibility under the current order to determine who gets those resources. There's a very good UN report about the social impact in multiple areas of climate change. When stuff hits the fan (and we're already seeing the signs right now with more active hurricane seasons and such), who gets what is going to be a major ideological discussion.
