"capital punishment" is the death penalty, you're thinking of corporal punishment if your punishment involves physical pain, it is abuse. it's assault if you hit an adult, why's it okay to hit a child? |

not only is it abusive to hit children, it teaches them that violence is an acceptable means to solve problems and will seriously increase their chances of physically bullying others when they grow older. no-one in america should ever have to fear for their life or health unless they are an immediate threat. corporal or capital punishment are both bad because they suggest violence is an acceptable means to an end when not required. |
