This argument didn't hold up for Hillary Clinton and it won't hold up for Equifax.

I'm pretty sure that them selling their shares like that is insider trading, so maybe for that, as far as criminal prosecution goes
otherwise I'm not sure if there is any criminal issue for the company as a whole, maybe class-action suit over them mishandling practically everyone's data
