I don't mean in this in like a stuffty "Who are you??" retort, just a genuine why do you want in the group so badly?
It's a private group of good friends, people don't just 'get in' not because it's some super exclusive club, it's just that nobody in the group knows you.
Trying to butt into a personal group is just kinda weird, but I'm assuming you've gotten the wrong impression about the group.
