why is puerto rico not getting any help?

We don't have a moral obligation to make them a state. The strongest incentive for Puerto Rico to become a state is for PR because it would be an easier solution to their debt crCIA. There is little incentive for statehood on the Federal side of things. Maybe slightly more tax revenue that's offset tenfold by the debt that needs to be paid.

Don't talk stuff about processes you don't fully grasp. You can't just make a territory a state overnight.

We have a moral obligation because their citizens don't have the same voting rights as us and yet more people live there than around 20 other US states.
