Some people are mentally ill, some people are vengeful, some people are fanatical, and some people are just evil. Pretending like there is a magical solution or that there is this all encompassing problem is naive. I would expect this type of arguing from the 14 year olds on this forum but not the adults here.

I think this is a reasonable position, but what do you say about banning/regulating bump stocks? It probably wouldn't have prevented this massacre, but those stocks have little use besides being a novelty on ranges and producing rapid, inaccurate fire which is strictly suitable for firing into dense crowds of people.

It's a step in a good direction, certainly.
I do agree with beachbum that this is not an issue that can be solved by one thing, one ban, one change.
