this reads like an insult but I can't imagine how it could be one

i just get kinda confused when people are talking to me because i don't know if their intentions are platonic or flirty. i don't know why.

Just saying you're interested is scary. It's boring. It comes off as cold and uncaring, and you can't gauge the other person's interest. Was that simple enough for you?
Then you need to start experiencing more. Watch some movies and TV. Talk to more people. Actually try to get in with a chick.

i've not been interested in anyone since i got rejected like 5 months ago. i'm currently only interested in talking to my current friends.

i can understand why it'd be boring, but i tell mostly everyone i know-- even potential employers-- that i'm an oblivious person. if they need me to know something, they need to tell me directly. i just can't sense if something's intentional or not.
