Blockland Clinic: Doctor, I think I need a cure for this pain

--- Quote from: McJob on October 08, 2017, 08:15:27 PM ---In Australia (maybe only NSW), it is compulsory for Year 7 and 8 students to study a second language. I chose Japanese over French (the only two offered by the school) because I felt it would help improve business relationships if I ever got into high-level finance as Australia is getting extremely close with Asia. I wanted to continue Japanese through Year 9 and onwards, but it would have clashed with my other choices, Commerce and Business.

I've pretty much forgotten all I learned since then. Good times though.

I really wish Japanese classes were offered more often in the US
My uni's got Mandarin, sure, but not Japanese :[

America has stronger ties to China, whereas Australia has stronger ties to Japan, and that's probably the reason for why those specific Asian languages are more predominate in educational facilities.

It's not a bad idea, although I'm more of a "write 9 paragraphs for a 1 word answer" kinda guy.
