| Why are there no legit pictures of the earth |

The actual reason the pictures look different is because they're taken at different altitudes with different wide angle lenses. The ISS for example is actually really close to the earth, so to get the entire globe in view you have use a fisheye lens, which leads to a distorted picture like the "2012" image in OP. badspot literally said the exact thing i was going to say, even the same video, nice they were taken from different distances.
