no loving clue, woke up with extreme pain deep in my ear and a forgetload of scratching, washed it out with rubbing alcohol (stupid move) and warm water

ants gone and everything except my hearing / eardrum is functional :^)

Have you gotten your ear checked? This could be permanent damage you are dealing with.
