Wait, you didn't know beforehand?

trust me, Luke's going to be training Rey and she's gonna have a vision of Finn fighting silver girl stormtrooper and she's gonna go "I have to go, my people need me" and she's gonna fight either Kylo or Snoke and lose one of her limbs and we'll find out Kylo is her brother or something

That's Disney's business model. You would have to be pretty blind to basic business to not understand this by now, since they've been doing it for decades.

Nintendo wants to be Disney, but they don't have the balls to pull off what Disney does to its franchises.

--- Quote from: McJob on October 10, 2017, 01:05:31 AM ---I explained my biggest frustration about this new series on a Discord; the Sith Lord (Kylo Ren).

It's not the fault of the actor, it's just that the character is an incredibly lame idea for a Sith loving Lord.

KotORII has my favourite baddies. You've got the Scottish guy whose faced thousands of lethal blows yet stays alive through the power of sheer will and anger, the unstoppable force who consumes all in order to try and stop its unquenchable hunger which only builds as it continues to feast, and the great betrayer who played a Xanatos Gambit of epic proportions to murder her previous padawans and bring about the end of the Force completely.

And yet apparently the movie directors can only think of "Vader Wannabe with a serious Oedipus Complex".

And the idea of "Han's son is a Vader wannabe" isn't even anything new. J. J. somehow made it even less interesting than Darth "My parents are terrorist scum" Caedus.
At least they don't give Kylo Ren ridiculous force powers. I hope. We'll see if he starts using Force Time Travel.

McJob:

Hell, thanks to the Prequel Trilogy, even Vader himself was a whiny little brat who completely lost the plot when his mum died and his fake Dad/Brother tried to put some sense into him.

Why the forget does Star Wars have so many villains who wouldn't be out of place in an emo clique listening to Linkin Park while dragging a knife across their wrist?
