i think you'll be fine, i installed lineageos onto my galaxy tab s and it went pretty well. just read the instructions carefully and you shouldn't brick it.

you should never, ever be doing banking or anything that requires a password on public wifi, that traffic is ALWAYS open to the public, this finding didn't change that. this is client sided, any device that uses wifi is effected. that being said, in slayerz case, most banking websites use https and probably have it properly configured, so he should be good
