Kubo and the Two Strings has a clear plot with build-up and payoff, along with Song of the Sea. What is the plot of Moonlight, last year's "Best Picture"? Gay black guy. That's it. I can remember when a film summarized as "trans person does things" got in. It really is more of a political problem than an overhype problem, but it's still there. |
