There are at least 130,000 transgender people in the US. This is the absolute, complete and total lower bound. The actual estimate is around 700,000, but since lower numbers are better for your argument I will use this. This is the first time in a very long while that a transgender person has assaulted a minor.

There are also 600,000 clergymen/pastors in the US. That's around 4.6x as many. This is the highest reasonable estimate possible, which again is better for your argument.

So in the past week, how many pastors have been arrested for assault/loveual assault of a minor?

And that's not including one that happened just a day over a week ago, and not including other atrocities that happened near this week such as

So looking at the cold hard data, clergymen/pastors are more abusive to children (by a factor of 1.3x per capita) than trans people, even after accounting for the larger number of pastors (which isn't actually the case) and even if we said that this was a regular occurance (which you will find with a bit of research that it isn't, I looked for around ~25mins and the latest one I could find was from early 2016). We must ban them from bathrooms.

So what's the more reasonable conclusion: Trans people should be banned from bathrooms along with pastors/clergymen, or should neither be banned from bathrooms? This is not a false dichotomy; It's logically inconsistent to legislate against just one when the other is worse. If you want to be legally, logically and morally consistent you must choose one of the two. I think you'll find the latter is the better conclusion.

do you honestly think any of these people hate transgender folk out of pure rationality?

Planr:

I saw a young teenage girl with colored hair walk into the mens' room the other day when I was at work (I was in the restroom washing my hands about to leave) and I almost wanted to say something to either her or my manager but I decided I had bigger fish to fry at the moment, plus I have enough drama at work as it is.

If I wasn't working though I probably would've just asked her why she was in there.

To be fair liberals likewise think telling people they can't bring guns to places (aka "gun free zones") is a method to prevent shootings (when of course all it does is make it easier for a shooter to kill more people before he is stopped, assuming the establishment is unable to afford to hire armed security guards). So you're right, simply telling men they can't use the girl's bathroom is not going to deter child enthusiasts from pretending to be women and entering said bathroom.

Ideally, to help prevent future incidents like this, I would say women and girls should be encouraged to take martial arts/self-defense classes, and parents should keep closer eyes on their children. Also that legislation and criminal penalties for this kind of heinous behavior should be tightened to help deter potential child enthusiasts from doing it, for fear of worse punishment.
