Author Topic: name my sci-fi fantasy currency  (Read 2771 times)

creating a dnd universe based on semi-futuristic germany/europe in which there's giant mechs and magic makes a comeback as an actually useful fighting method, i have thought of these names

  • credits (generic scifi currency)
  • marks (sweet german nationalism)
  • dollars (sweet american nationalism)
  • euros (dirty european nationalism)
  • gold (sweet medieval influence)

or other one you suggest it

dong
like vietnamese dong
i don't care if it's europe do it anyway

I always liked the sound of simoleons. marks would make the most sense though given your setting.

marks or credits sounds cool

I think credits only makes sense for interstellar stuff, so marks cus it sounds neat and it's not really specifically german anyway

I would say Soylent Green but Im not sure if it'll work right.

In all seriousness through, Marks probably sounds best

if it's dystopian go for something like rubles or rupees

I don't see marks used in many games/sci-fi things, and it sounds cool
so do marks
