Rally:
No. The majority of Americans have enough IQ and education to use both scales interchangeably. Metric for it's scientific use, and imperial for it's day-to-day use. If they switched to solely metric they'd just have one less scale to use at their convenience. I doubt most Argentinians know how to use metric to begin with.

The Rankine scale is the superior scale anyway.

Most kids in the US are taught both metric and imperial, and the formulas to convert them. I get the meme that metric is more rounded, but there's really no point in 'switching over' if anything that works better measured in metric is already being measured in metric by standard.
