I don't agree with their restrictions on modern technology and what-not, but their culture of non-violence and cooperation over competition is really something that we ought to take note of. i.e. the smartest kid in class doesn't move to a separate class, they help out the kids who are behind. It's sort of admirable how they're able to thrive as the world passes them by. I wonder how long will pass until they finally fade away, corrupted by ever-evolving technology surrounding them on all sides? |

There's nothing about the Amish belief system that you can actually disprove. It's their opinion that technology is bad, and you could more than likely have a civil discussion with an Amish person about their beliefs. Goth77 can't have a conversation about his beliefs, he'll ignore half the stuff you say and come back with lame sarcasm, because he's just simply wrong. Goth77 literally has a less correct perspective of the Earth than the Amish. |
