The Amish are actually a pretty interesting group. I don't agree with their restrictions on modern technology and what-not, but their culture of non-violence and cooperation over competition is really something that we ought to take note of. i.e. the smartest kid in class doesn't move to a separate class, they help out the kids who are behind. It's sort of admirable how they're able to thrive as the world passes them by. I wonder how long will pass until they finally fade away, corrupted by ever-evolving technology surrounding them on all sides?
Non-violence? Have you ever been in a bar full of amish? They get into fights just about every time they drink. Putting that aside I quite respect their whole "live off the land" idea. They have a lot of dedication and patience to be living without electricity or motorized vehicles in this era of technology, although I did see a small amish kid playing a gameboy once. I guess batteries are okay?

There's nothing about the Amish belief system that you can actually disprove. It's their opinion that technology is bad, and you could more than likely have a civil discussion with an Amish person about their beliefs. Goth77 can't have a conversation about his beliefs, he'll ignore half the stuff you say and come back with lame sarcasm, because he's just simply wrong. Goth77 literally has a less correct perspective of the Earth than the Amish.
well first and foremost the amish believe in god, so obviously the "big bang" shuts down their entire belief system

I believe in God and the big bang theory, at the same time. AMA if your feeble mortal mind can handle such a thing.

You're right, I don't understand how that works. You either believe that god made man in his image as is, or that man evolved from a primate. which is it?

who says he couldn't design us to evolve?

...You jumped from the big bang to evolution. Whatever.

It can easily be both. "Made" is not synonymous with "Made from nothing as a human might perceive it". The creation of the heavens and the earth is a process that could've taken an astronomical amount of time to a living human but to a timeless higher-dimensional creator it could happen in an instant. There is of course no way to explain this to Moses other than "I made it"

It depends where you live; there are lots of sects of Amish people with varying amounts of restriction on electricity. IIRC only a few don't allow it outright and some allow it for things like washing machines or running water, but very few allow electronics so I wonder if someone let the Amish kid use their Gameboy or something? I dunno, man.

Anyway, could you please address orbit or admit you were wrong?

loving hell, I couldn't squeeze an orange as juicy as this thread right now.

personally i subscribe to the theory that the earth itself is actually a triangle. bermuda triangle? yeah, the source of sea anomalies and disappearances? it only makes sense and this is what they don't want you to know. ancient egyptians built structures in the shape of a triangle but it wouldn't stand on its own so they made it a pyramid, a 3d triangle shape! be there or be square? it's be there or be triangle in this challenging world of 3 point corners. illumandti triangle? doritos triangle? pizza triangle slices? ever wonder why 3d has a 3 in it? because a triangle has 3 sides. it's hinted more than we notice and nobody is answering the call for the truth - now that's what i call the redpill.

Dam Cant Argue WIth Those Facts!!!!!!!

flat earth theory is very partially ture

if earth was compltelty flat you would fall off side right when you go in big ship off of edge waters?
earth is really a mombius strip and thats why you dont fall off side

gothboy has to be an alt or a character or something because hes only active when hes talking about his conspiracies, just like tony is only active for fake news

thats a lie
i guess he has that harvest thing and he likes to complain about videogames

I'm not a theist or anything, but perhaps God created the big bang? just some food for thought.
