keyword was "if", that's the one scenario he mentioned so I addressed it. the united states military wouldn't dare go against its citizens because it's ideologically and culturally founded on not doing it, they'd overthrow that type of government as you said

are you honestly comparing the threat of invasion to the modern day? why do you keep relying on stuff that was happening years ago to back you up it's just handicapped
the second amendment was relevant when you were colonizing the frontier, and when the british were being kicked out, today it has no significance and backing up your point with it is stupid. likewise, who the forget is going to invade the modern day US? are you aware the military is at large and there to protect you? if the government breaks down then guns will be easy to get anyway, why are you making stuff up
