so you're telling me you'd feel better if the military took control of the government, right?

--- Quote from: Maxwell. on November 10, 2017, 10:22:55 PM ---are you honestly comparing the threat of invasion to the modern day? why do you keep relying on stuff that was happening years ago to back you up it's just handicapped
--- End quote ---
because the past still holds relevance? if we could deter one of the world's strongest naval forces at its time, we can deter our own government from rolling tanks in our front yards

--- Quote from: Maxwell. on November 10, 2017, 10:22:55 PM ---the second amendment was relevant when you were colonizing the frontier, and when the british were being kicked out, today it has no significance and backing up your point with it is stupid. likewise, who the forget is going to invade the modern day US? are you aware the military is at large and there to protect you? if the government breaks down then guns will be easy to get anyway, why are you making stuff up

--- End quote ---
the second amendment is still very much relevant whether you like it or not, because it's better to have protection and not need it than to need protection and not have it. the second your shield breaks is the second you get your stuff kicked in. i don't expect anyone to invade the united states, but it is a possibility, and i would like for us to be prepared even if it never happens. and yes, i'm very aware the government is here to protect us in the event of an invasion, but we have people to form militias to assist them should they need it. i'm not making anything up, i'm considering possibilities.

however i never said we'd be invaded. my prime concern is that our own goverment might pull some bullstuff. while it's far-fetched now, it could be a very real situation in the future.
