See, that's a good point, which is that the US Army and most militia organizations wouldn't follow instructions which are brazenly tyrannical and unconstitutional. But that has nothing to do with civilian gun ownership.

It's not. I have nothing against gun ownership. I just think that the whole patriotic mantra about owning guns to 'protect yourself against the government' is mostly bullstuff.
