But in this case the reason why it got shut down is because reddit has a sort of unofficial sitewide policy about banning subreddits which are overtly hateful. /r/incels was full of countless posts about raping/murdering/kidnapping women, and the admins of the subreddit didn't seem to give a stuff. |

Like I said, I know most of them are stuffholes but there are a few guys out there that just need some encouragement so they don't become one of those stuffholes. |

The problem is that if you subscribe and contribute to a sub, you're going in because you agree/like that content. It becomes a kind of echo chamber, which builds in intensity as more people with similar opinions and values start sharing their slightly differing perspectives. Incels is not a healthy place for a person with genuine inter-personal issues.
