the united states basically saved our european allies before we even entered the war. we gave britain a lot of stuff, so much that they haven't repaid their debt until just recently. we even dropped weapons in the hands of resistance groups in france. stuff, the Big Bad Soviets people like you think singlehandedly won the war ran insanely low on supplies within the first year. they couldn't even give rifles to every troop until the lend lease program blessed them with guns, artillery, trucks, uniforms, you name it. i'm not saying we won europe on our own, but we were a huge factor in its outcome
