Need to upgrade my DDR3 ram, will this work?
<< < (2/4) > >>
Nonnel:
if you can find your motherboard on pcpartpicker then you can get compatible ram
SeventhSandwich:
Impossible to tell unless you tell us what motherboard you have. The RAM you linked is ECC memory, which will only work on a motherboard which is ECC compatible. These are quite rare for desktop gaming computers, which don't usually need the extra assurance of data integrity provided by ECC memory sticks. This is the kind of thing you usually only see in servers and high-end workstations.

You should try to find a regular stick of DDR3 RAM that's at a similar price-point.

That motherboard is not ECC compatible and thus won't work with the memory you linked.
