Peta is the one with cat concentration camps.
They kill more animals than they claim they save.

Alright, alright. I may have gotten a bit too far there, but my main point still applies: This is a sign of a lack of empathy/sympathy, which at age 17 he should've already learned by now. The only reason I included that vigilantism part is because I was furious when I first saw the video, and wasn't able to fully control my emotions. Sorry if it was taken in the wrong way.
--- Quote from: DrenDran on December 03, 2017, 06:17:39 PM ---I mean why *shouldn't* it have the death penalty? Are you planning on smashing a cat any time soon?
--- End quote ---
True, but a death penalty is a bit much for attempted murder. Especially at his age, even though I said he should've learned empathy by now. The reason I say these two conflicting things is because yes, he is young enough to be unaware of consequences, but he is old enough to show and embrace empathy
--- Quote from: King Tøny on December 03, 2017, 05:56:25 PM ---This is a great example of why vigilantism is illegal and will never be legal in the loving united states of america.
Hurting a cat = public style execution.
What kind of Dystopian world we live in where this idea is even plausible?
--- End quote ---
I mean, the US isn't that much of a dystopia. Plus, like I said, vigilantism is an extremely bad idea, one that I should never do or endorse because I'm not good at controlling emotions in the heat of certain moments.

no. he does not need a death sentence.
most likely he'll get charged for it and all his gadgets and gizmos will be sold off to pay for them
--- End quote ---
Yea, now I agree his punishment should be less severe than the loss of his life, but still severe enough for him to feel a certain amount of emotional pain, like you suggested.
--- Quote from: King Tøny on December 03, 2017, 06:19:53 PM ---We don't even have the death for committing murder on humans. Except in a few states.
What makes it okay for the death penalty to be reinstated for cat murder?
--- End quote ---
You just said it was cat murder. I believe any tormenting of any animal to its death should be held accountable as murder, unless if the death was a fast one. There's a difference between swiftly slaughtering livestock for food and having a cat bleed out to death.

Imagine what he would do to humans but yet you're talking about murdering a human.
So imagine what you'd do with humans.
lol

Ah, the old 'twist-your-opponent's-logic-on-them' approach. In this case, just because I may sound insane by what I said doesn't mean that the other person shouldn't be punished.
--- Quote from: King Tøny on December 03, 2017, 06:32:10 PM ---I'm not saying he doesn't deserve punishment.
I'm saying he doesn't deserve to be loving executed.
How are you people like not understanding this?
--- End quote ---
I understand that you want a milder punishment, you're just not claiming how mild you want it to be. Maybe say what you want to happen to him, and others might understand.
