Author Topic: good pair of headphones you recommend?  (Read 1440 times)

ATH-M50X have served me well. Audio Technica is a good brand but tbh they're not very fashionable (they just look a bit generic) if you care about that.

They're also close backed which I'm beginning to realize I don't like, especially since I have a room to myself again and don't have to worry about sound bleeding.

the ATH-AD700x (which I have) would be the open-back equivalent in terms of price range

but if he needs them to be under $100, the 500x would be a step lower

cant go wrong with sennheiser
this

Currently using some Sennheiser HD 500a's with an Audioengine D1 DAC / Amp. They're pretty old, but they still sound amazing.

Complementary earbuds planes will give you

I've recommended this to a few people
My bf has these but wireless and I think they are really great as well. Once my Logitech g930s bite the dust I'll be switching to those

Also I've had a pair of Sennheiser 333ds and had horrible luck with them and the crappy software that came with them. Idk if it's changed since then.

Alternatively you can go with nice headphones and a snowball mic setup

I'd recommend using this site. It's got a great selection of headphones along with a brief description, price, and some pros/cons for each one.
