Is fortnite battle royale a good game

I keep getting these ads on youtube but this game looks like PUBG but with battle royale so should i get it when i get my gaming pc?

it’s free, i play it with my friends because it’s something we can all get into. incredibly simple but fun, and rounds go super quick. if you lose you can just requeue with your group again instantly
it probably won’t be any fun by yourself, it’s not that competitive and there’s basically no rewards or progression system
