why do people hate b4v21?

the counterargument saying nobody is ditching v21 for v20 is moot since anyone playing v20 is someone not currently playing v21 and contributing to the playercount. i get the appeal of using v20, but its overall detrimental to the health of the game if anyone starts splitting off and playing an older version. theres no way to spin it to make it “better” for the game overall, only “its not as bad as you think it is”
and that graph is pretty bs, you guys keep going on about how v20 master server is dead yet you guys still play it. theres no foreseeable dropoff in the future unless the host of the primary servers people richard around on collectively agree to stop hosting

a lot of servers with maps were mostly whipped up, rarely > 10k bricks as they only had bases or building scattered around the map. sometimes none at all as people just placed a vehicle spawn and flew around. objectively less building - these days 10k bricks is pretty average.
that said im not arguing against the fun maps brought, just that constantly being nostalgic isnt going to benefit the game’s future.
